The young American bass-baritone Joshua Winograde is an artist of significant vocal ability and great theatrical breadth. He has performed 44 operatic roles for the finest companies and festivals in the US and has sung concerts with distinguished symphony orchestras throughout the country. Mr. Winograde has portrayed a broad range of characters representing varied musical styles from early music to contemporary and new works, and he has presented principal works in the choral and orchestral repertoire. Mr. Winograde has been privileged to sing with Houston Grand Opera, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, New York City Opera, the St. Louis Symphony, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Kansas City Symphony, Pacific Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Glimmerglass Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, Spoleto Festival USA, Bard SummerScape, Chautauqua Opera Company, and Wolf Trap Opera Company.
