A distinguished concert and recital artist and an artist of great breadth, Tenor Carl Halvorson has sung with the finest orchestras in the United States and Europe and he has performed the full range of works in the tenor repertoire ranging from Haydn and Mozart to Britten and Honegger. Heralded for his interpretation of the works of Benjamin Britten, he has performed the composer's principal works including St. Nicholas, the War Requiem, the Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings , the Male Chorus in Rape of Lucretia and Quint in Turn of the Screw. As an exponent of new works, Mr. Halvorson has sung numerous world premieres and was privileged to have given the US premiere of the composer's The World of the Spirit at Carnegie Hall.
